Dharamsala Nayagroeon Trekking Tour
Day 01: Arrival Amritsar
Arrive Amritsar Railway Station. On arrival meet and greet by our representative who will take you to the hotel. Check in hotel. Evening visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervour rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Return to hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 02) : Amritsar-Pathankot -Macleodgunj
Start your full day city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the most important Sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs.
Then visit Jallianwala Bagh- where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed forbidden gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. Then visit Durgiana Temple, the temple of goddess of power. You can also do shopping in old Amritsar Market for Ladies Suites and Punjabi Jutti (Traditional Punjab Shoes).
After lunch visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Summer Palace Museum- The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh which is situated in the heart of Ram Bagh, Amritsar. Afternoon drive to Macleodgunj. On arrival check in the hotel, Overnight at Hotel in Mcleodganj
Day 03) : Mcleod Ganj Sight Seeing
After Breakfast visit Dalai Lama Monastery, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Water fall, Norbalinga Institute, Tapovan the Chinmay Mission at Siddhabadi. Back to hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel in Mcleodganj .
Day 04): Mcleod Ganj - Gunna Devi, 2,310m- 8-kms
In morning, after breakfast , An excellent start to our journey as we trek through rhododendron forest, Tibetan Childre village, Dal Lake Dal Lake and then to Balh Nullah. Naddi to Balh Nullah is a thick deodar and oak forest. We camp near an old Forest Rest House with impressively large deodar. After a steep climb of an hour we reach at Galu on top and explore the surrounding areas. 4-km trek is towards Gunna Devi and the Kali temple. Overnight at Camp.
Day 05): Gunna Devi - Jari Gote via Kanjrala, 3,000m-12-kms
After Breakfast, start your trek with, Classic walking to north through Meadows bordered. Here Old rhododendron trees give the most wonderful display in spring. Relu Gote-The trails are good and the scenery magnificent. We camp near a river beside the village of Jari Gote is located at the base of Bhimaghasutri Pass. Overnight at Camp.
Day 6): Jari Gote - Illaqa Gote, 3,150m- 8-km
Early in the morning start trekking (7 Km) to reach Illaqa Gote, with views of Mun Peak as well as the other snow capped peaks. Ilaqa is snow point in Mcleodganj .The small glacier is called snow point . Overnight in camp.
Day 7): Illaqa Gote - Triund, 2,975m- 10-km
Early morning after breakfast start your trek to triund. For going to Chamba and Bharmaur, Triund is the base camp for trekkers, with views of Dhauladhat, sunset and panorama of Kangra valley. From this place you can see unique sights of ,plains of Punjab and Shivalik ranges. Overnight at Camp.
Day 8): Triund - Mcleod Ganj, 1,760m- 9-km
After Breakfast start your Trek descends down the valley- Mcleod Ganj, Bhagsu and Dharamsala town. Overnight in hotel.
Day 9): Mecleod Ganj - Pathankot/Amritsar
In Morning, after breakfast, drive to Pathankot/Amritsar, for your onward journey
